Hi Guys,
Thanx to all who made it to Lennoxtown. A good night was had by all I hope.
Thanx to Anthea and Steve for putting up with us. It was great to play some games and have fellowship.
Continue to pray for the crew in Lennoxtown, that God will reward the labour of love that is through there and their YF will grow.

Last call for the training day in Glasgow next Saturday. Anyone who wants to go please let me know by tomorrow night at latest as I need to book tickets.
Also, have a few names from the Refuel crew for The Gathering. Need to know names from the Rock dudes as I will need to work out tickets and transport.

Just to say a big thanx to all who prayed for me yesterday. It went well at Graeme High. I spoke at 2 assemblies but, more importantly, had an opportunity to speak to the Rector / Head Teacher. Lets hope that not only the lunchtime clubs will grow and be relevant but also that the relationship with the school as a whole will grow.

Hi All Rockers(over 15's),
As already announced, there is a youth training day on Saturday 16th September from 10AM-4PM. It's being hosted by the Scottich Christian Youth Workers Forum which represents most denominations in Scotland.
Some of the seminar topics are as follows: Street Pastoring, Youth reaching out to youth, Coping with Challenging Behaviour (boy don't I know!!!! Only joking?!!!), Belong, Believe and Behave, How to gather young people, Building and keeping a team, Community auditing and listening to young people and developmental youth work.
Presumably there are other seminars as well. The cost is £5.00 each and when we purchase 4, the 5th goes free so it really makes it £4.00.
If you want to go, let me know ASAP so I can book through Firestarters.

Hi Guys,
ReFuel and The Rock will start back on Saturday 26th August at the usual times.
ReFuel will be the usual hang-out with a message.
The Rock will be in for a more deep session as we look to prepare for the future.
Come ready to have fun but also learn.
We will also be organising the trip to The Gathering '06 at Livingston on Saturday 14th October. Prices are £5.00 in advance or £7.00 on the door. It's preferrable to pay in advance as we are then guaranteed entry and know our numbers.
We are also in process in organising a wee trip through to Lennoxtown to have a night of fellowship and fun and worship and whatever else happens.
In November, we will then invade MegaZone for a night of lazerquesting.
In December, it will be the usual Christmas party fun.
Details for all will follow so keep posted.

The Gathering 2006

Hi Guys,
One of our outings this year will be to The Gathering '06 tour which is being held in Liviingston on Saturday 14th October. Tickets cost £5 if booked before the day and £7 on the door.
Special Guest are Bandwithnoname and the Gathering Worship team and Mark Pugh.
It promises to be a great night with the event starting at 7pm and finishing at 9.30pm.
Hope to see you all there. Let me know if you are going and supply me with the ticket money so I can go to McDonalds.... NO!!!! so I can purchase the tickets.
If you are U16, then let me know as you will need a permission slip.

Hi Guys,
Just like to say a big thank you to all who completed the questionaires at the end of the Rock. It's a big encouragement to know that what God has laid upon my heart is also what you are all seeking.
Things being planned for Refuel and The Rock include bowling, Megazone, paint balling, games night, an adventure weekend away and much more.
We will also be organising another Passion night and hope to reach out more into the schools. So start getting the creative juices going for the next Passion.
Also, keep letting me know what you think as your thoughts and complaints are of value to me. This ministry is in constant organic growth so I need to know what works and what doesn't.
Pray for each other constantly and encourage each other and never forsake the gathering of God's people.
Pray for Ilona and Rochene who are in Cambodia.

Hi All,
Apologies for not having any posts these last few weeks but things have been sooooooo hectic and crazy. The Induction Service of Pastor David was awesome, and the Farewell service of Pastor George and family was emotional. But God is SOOOOO good as His presence was there and His hand is at the helm of thePeoples Church. If you couldn't be at any of these services then don't despair!!! There are DVD's of both services available to purchase. Contact the office for more details.
As for Saturday 22nd July, I would like to give all of you cool dudes and dudettes options as to what you all would like to do. We can go to Callendar Park and go mental with some baseball gear and lots of juice (hoping the weather is still great)
OR we could do something else like lazerquest, or ten pin bowling or I am open to any other suggestions you guys might have.
If nothing changes, then we can meet at the front of the church at 6.30pm.
Also, can you all pray for Ilona and Rochene as they embark on mission work.

The provisional date is for Saturday 22nd July, meeting at the church at 6.30pm for head into Callendar Park to play baseball, frisbee football, football and whatever else we can think of. ReFuel - Remember to treat your friends as you would want to be treated.
As for The Rock, I didn't realise what a bunch of violent people you were when you are playing games. I have the bruises to prove it and that was from my own team!!!. Though the opposite team had a secret weapon in the form of a munchkin called Wullie. In spite of his lack of height, he was still able to score many goals!!!
God has truly blessed each and every one of you with a special gift which only you have. Allow Him today to use it through you today. And live in unity with the Spirit, receiving all in the Spirit and not with the flesh. Flesh leads to jealousy, friction, anger, being judgemental and much worse. Jesus loves you for who you are. Love others and accept others as He loves and accepts you.

It's amazing when you discuss how to give your worries to God that people do the silliest of things - like have a dance mat competition and allow to be photographed.

Or have no choice in being photographed.

AND THE WINNER IS.............. an anonymous person who will not be named for fear of a lifetime of shame for being a dance dive. All I can say is, shame on you girls for not winning!!!!

Ultimate Event - Less tha 24hrs to go

Hi All,
Can't believe that Ultimate Event is neary here. Just one or two more pointers:
Please be at the church for 5:45AM so that we can do the call and be ready to board the bus. This will hopefully allow the bus to leave on time, WHICh IT WILL. So please be there.
Make sure your mobi is fully charged as this will be the only means of communication once we are all down there. Numbers will be taken and all should have my number and Valeries number, though we will give this out on the bus.
Again, ensure you bring food for breakfast on the bus.
Finally, be prepared to scream lots on the rides and go mental for Jesus in the concert.
Let everybody know about all of this and will see you all tomorrow at 5:45AM

ONLY 2 DAYS TO GO!!!!! The bus will not be stopping either on th eway down or back as a) We just want to get there, b) To stop at service stations are expensive, c)We just want to get there, d) The bus has a toilet on board, e)We just want to get there f) The bus has DVD and screens on it to keep us amused and e) WE JUST WANT TO GET THERE!!!
The bus will trundle down as quick as it can to get us there so you all being ready to board is required to minimise and delays.
Take your breakfast onto the bus!!!! As stated above, there will be no pit stops. Also remember to have money to feed yourselves as well as paying for anything else. I presume the there are ATM's there, though I don't know if these ones charge for withdrawls. Some of the places will presumably also take switch.
Take clothing for all weather as, depending on where you get your weather report, it's going from just being cloudy to continual rain.
AND NJOY!
PS not all posts are open for comment as they may just be for information. But since you lot complain like auld wivies, I'll try to remember to enable the comments. All auld wivies are expected to wear the wrinkly thick tights on the day (You know who you all are!!). And no, it's not George!!!!!!!

ONLY 3 DAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The weather report for this weekend is not good so pray for good weather and take some waterproofs as well.
But not even the rain can dampen our fun.
And remember, THE BUS LEAVES THE CHURCH AT 6.00AM. WE WILL NOT WAIT IF YOU ARE LATE. SO BE WARNED.
And remember to bring your cameras to take mental photos of each other so we can unleash them on an unsuspecting world!!!!!!!! Then say come to ReFuel and The Rock and turn out like this.

YEAH! Ultimate Event '06 is nearly here. It's going to be sooooo cool with the rides and music. Can't wait to get on AIR, Rita Queen of Speed and Nemesis.

But here is the no nonsense stuff..........

Please remember that the bus leaves The Peoples Church at 6.00am SHARP. If you are late, the bus will leave without you!!!!!!!!!!!
The bus will be in Cumbernauld at the services at approximately 06:10.
Then on to Alton Towers to arrive hopefully at 10:30 - 11.00am.

The concerts start at 5.00pm and will finish at 9.30pm.
PLEASE, when the concert finishes, make your way back to the bus ASAP so we can start our journey home.
The bands are as follows: Green Jade, RPM, Matt Redman, Rebecca St. James and Tait.
Tickets will be issued on bus. There is a ticjet for Alton Towers and a wrist band for the concert. DON'T lose it as if you do, there will be no access to either park or concert.

Most of all, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
